Positive: Fantastic location, secluded and very beautiful situated on the banks of the Akatarawa river, but only a short distance outside Upper Hutt and within easy reach of Wellington. Surrounded by gardens and orchard, with spa pool on the terrace outside and well-appointed kitchen. The host Mary was incredibly welcoming and even brought us fresh baked cake and coffee, which more than made up for the rough patch of weather we encountered on our weekend there. Absolutely recommend this exceptional place, and would definitely go back there again.
